Siostry zmagają się z własnym ciałem. Jedna, pchana ambicjami szuka granic jego możliwości, dla drugiej ciało to więzienie. Jedna wierzy, że przed wspomnieniami uratuje ją balet. Druga obserwuje świat z balkonu z taką uwagą, że widzi i słyszy więcej. Ich ojciec ucieka do jedynego miejsca, w którym czuje, że żyje naprawdę. Każde z nich obłaskawia przeszłość i oswaja teraźniejszość. Film jest ekranizacją powieści Jakuba Małeckiego.

KINGA DĘBSKA

Born in 1969 in Białystok. Director and screenwriter. Graduated in Film Direction from FAMU in Prague and in Japanese Studies of the University of Warsaw before that. She made over a dozen awarded documentaries, including the feature-length “Actress” Aktorka which won the Eagle award. She won Best Screenplay for her feature debut, “Hel”, at the 2010 Koszalin Debut Film Festival Young and Film. Her second feature film, “These Daughters of Mine”, was an artistic and box office success and won awards such as the Audience Award, the Journalists Award and the Arthouse Cinemas Network Award at the Film Festival in Gdynia in 2015 together with many other awards in Poland and around the world. Her two latest films are “Back Then” and “Playing Hard”, the last awarded with awards such as the Audience Award at the 2019 Mastercard Off Camera International Festival of Independent Cinema in Cracow. She is also the author of books “These Daughters of Mine” and “Talk to Me”. Member of Polish Filmmakers Association.
