View of right-bank Warsaw. Tenement houses in the Old Town. Street sales in Warsaw. Trading on Kercelak. Peddlers offering their services. Street musicians. Coal suppliers. Chimney sweeps. Fire brigade during firefighting operation. Traffic. Shoe cleaner. Balloon seller. Children on a pony ride. Photographer, street vendors, cab drivers. Staged photos of beachgoers. It is a nostalgic journey back in time to the capital of the early 1930s. The film captures a market day at the most popular of Warsaw’s bazaars, as well as disappearing urban types: coal man, chimney sweeps, knife sharpeners, shoe makers and courtyard musicians.
