A fascinating and very instructive film “Republic of Poland. Reloaded” talks about the reconstruction of Poland after regaining independence in 1918. It’s about the energy that was existent in Polish people after independence. The film presents the greatest achievements of politicians, economists, inventors, scientists, whose thoughts and achievements contributed to the flourishing of Poland during the interwar period. Though encountering a number of problems, a new state challenged and overcame them in a dramatic way. Moreover, their discoveries were of the utmost importance for the development of various fields in the world.
A list of scholars interviewed in the movie includes prof. Wacław Szybalski of Madison, prof. Donald Pienkos of Milwaukee, and prof. Dominic Pacyga of Chicago.
ANNA FERENS
Director, screenwriter and journalist, author of television reportages, series and documentary films. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw, obtaining a master’s degree in business. She also studied Serbo-Croatian at the Warsaw University and Advertising for Business at the French Institute of Government in Warsaw. Juror of the Planete Doc Review film festival (2010). Anna Ferens is Senior Programming Editor for TVP1 & TVP2.
