It’s been 30 years since Poland has been connected to the Internet, to bitNET – Because It is Time for Network and since the first email was send from Poland to Copenhagen. The researchers in the film make it clear that hundreds of people in institutes around the world collaborated on the digital breakthrough. In Poland, we did not have advanced equipment, but scientific thought did not differ from the West. Parallel to political events – Solidarity strikes, round table discussions, dismantling of the Eastern Bloc – a digital revolution was taking place.
