SYNOPSIS
In spite of advances in communications tools, humans are becoming lonelier.
The director captures this paradox by exploring the stories hidden behind the faces of 21 characters on the New York subway. The result is a film essay about the search for meaning in life. At the same time, it becomes a hypnotic portrait of a city where points of view, cultures, and races meet although individuals become increasingly estranged.
