Film is a dynamic story of three generations of the Dulski family. The plot is set in three time periods – in 1914, 1954 and in the end of the 1990’s. The main protagonists are three women in the famous literary family – a grandmother, a mother and a granddaughter.
Rainer Dulsky, a professor of psychiatry from Switzerland, visits Melania, the granddaughter of Mrs. Dulska. He feels he’s got something in common with the apartment house in which the Dulski family live… Melania, a film director, intrigued by her family history joins Rainer in his research. Their discoveries will take them back to the past full of dramatic secrets that were meant to stay hidden forever. The Dulski family has much on their conscience…
FILIP BAJON
Born in Poznań in 1947. Film and theatre director, novelist and screenwriter. Graduated from the Law Department of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (1970) and from the Film Directing Department of the National Film School in Łódź (1974). Professor of directing at the Silesian University in Katowice and at National Film School in Łódź, where he’s been a Dean of the Directing Department since 2008. Recipient of numerous film awards. In the 90’s, a head of the DOM Film Studio; since 2015, a director of the KADR Film Studio. Honored with the Order of Polonia Restituta (2002) and Gloria Artis Gold Medal (2014).
