The end of 1942 in Warsaw. Peak of the occupation terror. After the so-called “great action” tens of thousands of Jews have still survived in the ghetto. A group of people establish “Zegota”, an underground organization aimed to rescue survivors and help those who are hiding on the “Aryan” side. Who were the people who guided by humanitarianism, and sometimes by simple instinct of pity, and risked their lives to save others? What decisions did they have to make? How did they get the funding? What did the saved Jewish children feel, suddenly separated from their parents and thrown into an unknown environment?
