SYNOPSIS
When adults are ineffectual, children have to grow up quickly. Ola is 14, and she takes care of her dysfunctional father, her autistic brother, and her mother who lives separately. What she wants most of all is to reunite her family. She hopes to bring her mother back home. Her 13-year-old brother, Nikodem’s Holy Communion is the perfect pretext for the family to get together. Ola takes on the responsibility for preparing the family celebration. Her brother observes his family’s struggles from his unique, autistic perspective.
