SYNOPSIS
“It was a human story. The story of an accusation that couldn’t be refuted” but which also could not be proved; an accusation that Jewish singer Vera Gran performed for the Gestapo and denounced her own people to the Nazis. “She had it all. All that a rising star could ask for: beauty, amazing voice and music flowing in her veins. She was so shy at the beginning of her career that she used to perform from behind curtain.” Was she a traitor and collaborator or the victim of resentment and malicious gossip? This documentary is a tale of a famous and beautiful woman whose life turned into the never-ending escape from her notorius reputation.
