Story about a legendary Polish driver who returns to take part in one of the most difficult car rallies in the world – the Safari Rally in Kenya. The film crew accompanies Sobiesław Zasada during the preparations for the event and during the race through the African wilderness. Picturesque images of Kenyan nature are intertwined with dynamic shots from inside the car, noisy cheering of fans on the roadsides is mixed with instructions shouted by the pilot … Will a car full of electronics and vast experience help once again to stand on the podium of a rally driver who, despite almost a hundred years on the back of his neck, does not seem to give in to the passage of time?

MICHAŁ BOLLAND
Born in 1990 in Cracow. Director and screenwriter. His famous documentary “August 7th” (7-my sierpnia) telling the stories of four people detained during protests in defense of an LGBT activist in Krakowskie Przedmieście received many awards at national festivals. “Zasada” is his full-length documentary debut.
