UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Film shows the unique relationship between a twenty-something-old grandson and his grandma. The woman is unable to accept the boy’s homosexuality although he is someone very important to her. She raised him; she is like second mother to him. Teresa is a woman of set views who due to traditional religious belief perceives Rafał’s sexual orientation in moral terms. At the same time, she is concerned about his future because she cannot conceive of a different way of life for a young man than marrying a woman.

RAFAŁ ŁYSAK
Born in 1989 in Gorzów Wielkopolski. He graduated from the Acting Department at National Film School in Łódź and Documentary Program at Andrzej Wajda School in Warsaw. “Unconditional love” is his professional documentary debut. The film was awarded with The Golden Hobby-Horse in the National Competition at 58. Cracow Film Festival.
