SYNOPSIS
Kay is missing – they’re saying he’s probably dead, but Gerda doesn’t believe it. She loved Kay and decides to look for him … Kazimierz reads Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales to little Marcin, and the time spent with his older neighbor is one of the few happy moments in the boy’s life. Little Marcin has problems with his eyesight, with communication at school, and, above all, with his relationship to his mother Ania. Raising the boy on her own, she’s young and attractive, but she’s lost and rarely finds time for him. When she is at work or out on a date or out socializing, friends and neighbors look after the boy. Despite their help, Ania is starting to see motherhood as a burden, while Marcin is feeling more and more alone. Will they find a way to reconnect?
ROBERT WICHROWSKI
Born in Bydgoszcz in 1966. Director and screenwriter. He studied History and Political Science at the University of Gdańsk, and he also completed a Master’s Course in Filmmaking at the Wajda School and graduated from the National Film School in Łódź. He has directed music videos, social campaigns, and as well as TV series. His feature debut was a comedy “The French Trick”.
