This film describes eleven turning-point years in the history of Poland that shaped Polish national identity. The story begins in 1908 with the publication in Lviv by cartographer Eugeniusz Romer of a school textbook with a Geographical Atlas. It ends with the signing of the Treaty of Peace in Versailles in 1919 that re-established the independent Polish state.
