SYNOPSIS
The biography of the legendary, Nobel Prize–winning physicist and chemist, who triggered controversy not only in the male dominated world of French science, but also by her unconventional romantic life. The story covers the most turbulent five years in the life of this genius, between 1905, when she went to Stockholm with her husband, Pierre Curie, to be awarded the Nobel Prize for the discovery of radioactivity and 1911, when she received her second Nobel Prize.
MARIE NOËLLE
French film director. Studied mathematics and received an MBA from the European School of Management, Paris/Oxford /Berlin. Since 1982, she has been writing screenplays and books, as well as making documentary films. In 1995, she made her feature debut with “Ich erzähle mir einen Mann”, which was nominated for the Max Ophüls Preis and many other prestigious awards. Founding member of “Treffpunkt Filmkultur”, aimed at bringing the magic of film to children and young adults, and increasing their sensibility to art in the broad sense of the word.
