Stanisław Grzesiuk – if you built him a monument, he’d probably tear it down so this film does not heap praises on Grzesiuk. This child of the streets doesn’t need them. His sense of humor and the banjo he fondly called his “old board” helped him to survive the lingering horrors of his time in Nazi concentration camps and became his source of comfort during his terminal illness. His books and songs continue to inspire the old and the young alike.
