Structural engineer, pioneer of welding and welded structures.
His innovative ideas used in the construction of bridges delight engineers from all over the world to this day. He helped design “Prudential”, in the twenties of the twentieth century, the second tallest building in Europe. In Maurzyce near Łowicz stands the world’s oldest welded bridge of his design. Stefan Bryła was a member of the Sejm of the Second Polish Republic, and during World War II the dean of the secret faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology. Involved in the resistance movement, he drew up an instruction for Kedyw AK “How to destroy steel bridges”. Arrested by the Germans,
he was shot in 1943.

Born in Gdańsk in 1979. Director and screenwriter. Graduated in film directing from from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television in Katowice – University of Silesia, also completed Development Lab and Script programs at Wajda School. Worked as 1st AD at numerous long feature film sets across Poland. Member of the Polish Filmmakers Association.
