32. POLISH FILM FESTIVAL IS GOING ON WITH MORE EXCITING NEW MOVIES!

32. Polish Film Festival in America, the world’s largest annual program of promoting Polish cinema outside of Poland is running in theatres and online via streaming until November 22nd. The physical screenings take place in two major movie theatres: Copernicus Center (5216 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago) and Gallery Theatre (1112 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago).
However, most of the films in this year’s festival program are available for streaming to your computers, tv sets, Roku tvs, even cellphones. You can watch it at your convenient time in security and comfort of your living room with family or friends. Simply, go to the PFFA website www.pffamerica.org First, click LIST OF FILMS, you will see all film titles. Click title you are interested in. You will see an option to buy STREAMING TICKET. Pay with your credit card and receive e-mail with a code to open the film.
This weekend, program includes interesting debut feature THE TASTE OF PHO, Golden Hugo winner SWEAT (in theatres only), hilarious thriller/comedy CODE NAME: CHALLENGE, and a special screening of a classic 1920. THE WORLD’S MOST IMPORTANT BATTLE by Jerzy Hoffman, a movie which should be seen on a big screen. Among thrilling documentaries, you can choose TONY HALIK. BORN FOR ADVENTURE, KULT. FILM, MAREK EDELMAN… AND THERE WAS LOVE IN THE GHETTO, or INVINCIBLE. THE STORY OF GENERAL STANISLAW MACZEK’S LIFE about famous commander of armored division in WW2.
Due to COVID-19 limitations theatres can guarantee a very small capacity, and earlier reservations are highly recommended. Restrictions and guidelines will be enforced including requirement of face masks, social distancing, and longer sanitation breaks between screenings.
