This intense drama is based on a true story. In a case of mistaken identity, Brian Sweeney, a happy and successful family man, becomes a victim of a brutal attack that causes a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Upon waking up from a coma, he begins a long, uphill road to recovery, trying to become the loving husband and father he once was. While Brian struggles against overwhelming odds, his family and friends must cope with dramatic, unpredictable, and violent symptoms of TBI. This gut wrenching and inspiring story gives the audience a raw, unprecedented insight into the “silent epidemic” of traumatic brain injury, which can happen to anyone, at any moment.
KUBA ŁUCZKIEWICZ
Born in Poland, studied Film & TV at The Jagiellonian University in Cracow and in 1990 immigrated to USA and settled in Chicago. He started a professional career as a co-producer and editor of a local TV weekly series on travel, which ran successfully for three seasons. In artistic collaboration with Miroslaw Rogala’s Outerpretation Studio, Kuba worked as a cinematographer and editor on many acclaimed projects. From 1997 to 2003, he worked as a TV producer, created over 50 hours of television programming. His passion for the filmmaking put him on the set of several films in Poland and in the USA. In 2004, together with his wife and creative partner Kinga, they founded Road 28 Production, a company focused on producing independent films, TV/web commercials and documentaries. Kuba and Kinga have two adult sons.
